8th November filming

We chose to use the extra time of filming after our rough cut deadline because we felt that we still needed more footage and filming time. We did this on Thursday the 8th, we choose to film on a Thursday again as thats when we have the most time available to us.
We wanted to film some more footage as we felt that we didn't really have a narrative to our music video. We also wanted more footage of Chloe as when we had peer reviews they commented about how we should have more of the girl shown in our video and again it added to our story line.
We needed to have a few more different scenes in our video to, as it was all pretty much the same, and all of Tom, our lead singer. We therefore needed a few completely different scenes compared to what we already. We already had a lot of Tom lip singing but we needed to have more of a story, so we decided we would film a little sort of love story. So we decided to film Chloe in a cafe where she should have been meeting Tom but he lets her down and doesn't come, she then leaves and goes back to the car park but eventually he does come to find her and gives her a bracelet. There then all happy and in love again.
We used Benets cafe along kings parade to film the cafe scene, we asked the manager for permission before we started filming. Here we filmed Chloe waiting for Tom to arrive. We needed a few more camera angles as the filming we had already was all pretty much mid shots and we needed more variety. So through this extra filming time we did this and in the cafe we shot different angles and added a lot of variety. We filmed Chloe sitting at her table waiting for Tom to arrive, her we used a variety of close ups. When she leaves we also filmed her in the security round mirror, which gave a brilliant effect.
The car park we used to film at was the Grande Arcade, here we went to the very top floor, it had amazing views of the city and the sun going down was beautiful so it was a brilliant place for us to film.
Here we filmed a match on action shot of Chloe as she walks through the door and onto the car park roof, we film her walk over to the railings and put her head in her hands. We then film an over the shoulder should of her getting out a letter which Tom wrote to her, asking her to meet him at the cafe for 5, she then goes on to tear the paper up and we film this from a low angle and film the paper falling.  We also film an over the should angle of her looking at her watch.
After we film Chloe upset Tom then come through the car park doors and surprises her with a cuddle and a bracelet, we film this surprised reaction and how Chloe takes him back and forgives him. I feel the filming from that evening went really well, we got a wide variety of shots such as a 360 angle, close ups, match on action, and close ups. We now have more of a narrative to our video and listened to our peer feedback and what they thought needed to be included.

This Image shows the cafe we used on Kings Parade, Benets is a lovely little small cafe and was perfect for filming this scene in our music video. It allowed us to capture lots of different angles and add more of a narrative to our video. This particular image shows chloe walking into the cafe, it shows the little rustic, vintage looking cafe.

This mid shot shows chloe checking her watch, wondering where Tom is.

This image shows chloe walking out of the cafe, this is a very creative shot and is different to anything else we have taken and again adds variety.

This is a shot of chloe leaving the cafe, again it shows the little vintage looking cafe.

The three images above show the match on action shot of chloe walking through the door and onto the car park, this adds variety to our shot choices.

This over the should shot of chloe reading her letting from Tom again adds shot variety to our video, it also adds to the romance.

This sunset is one of the images we got from the roof of the car park, we shall use this in our video because its a beautiful shot and shows the landscape.

The images above are a few examples of the footage we did during the shoot, it shows the narrative and the variety of angles we have now introduced into our video.
