Influences On The Ideas For Our Music Video

James Morrison- Broken Strings

This video has been a main influence on some of the ideas for our music video, the video features intense close ups of the artist which helps to create a star persona within the music video. We have also tried some close ups of our artist as we like this intense style. We feel these close ups go really well with our song choice and with the pace and feel of the music.

Above we can see a comparison between two shots from our music video and from James Morrison's video for 'Broken Strings'. We can see that they are both very close up, intense shots of the artist singing the song.
Other similarities between the two videos are that they both feature the artists female lover. In both videos we have some narration about the love affair between them, but the artist is always more dominant than the female lover.
